The White House is a truly beautiful modern home. Built and Designed by Edgewater, the owner had specific design ideas and inspirations and knew exactly what he wanted the home to encapsulate when he came to us. Working together to incorporate the design and functionality elements he needed the home to have, whilst also making the most of the beautiful plot of land it was to be built upon, we designed The White House.
With influences from the owners European background we designed and executed an environmentally conscious home with compete smart home functionality that allowed the ‘eco friendly’ aspects of the home to enhance rather than take away from the design of the home.
Creating a sustainable lifestyle within a home this grand and modern may not fit the ‘eco homes’ you might have seen before, however with careful thought and preparation this home is entirely self-sufficient.
Solar Panels on the roof create electricity to power the house and be able to sell back to the electricity board, a reverse osmosis plant inside the home allows water to be pulled from the canal in front of the home and made safe to be used in the home. Motion sensor lighting, and solar water heating are just a few of the things that make this home an entirely ‘smart home’.
Once the design elements of the build were set and building had begun, our interior design team set to work gaining inspiration from the owner himself and what he needed from the home for him and his family. The interior selections were approved and all brought in and installed and each room meticulously styled ready for the hand over.
