Island Hopping: Cayman Brac

This crazy year of 2020 has really given us the opportunity to explore our sister islands and if you follow our social media you probably know that we are regularly hopping over to Little Cayman however less often do we head over to the Brac, or should I say, did, as it is now certainly going to be a regular spot for us.

The Cayman Islands Tourism website described Cayman Brac as a ‘nature lovers paradise’ and truly it is. It was hard to comprehend how somewhere so close could be so vastly different and refreshing but it truly is.

Visit Cayman describes the Brac as off the beaten track but still charming, which is the perfect description.

The Bluff itself is vast and awe inspiring as you drive along the coast line with climbing facilities if you are ready for the challenge. If underwater pursuits are more your pace then make the most of the crystal clear water and the opportunity to dive amongst a sunken Russian war ship!

Hiking, cave exploring, rock climbing and diving are just a few of the outdoor activities you can enjoy but make sure to pick up some ‘brac bread’ cinnamon rolls and grab a pizza from Barracuda for supper when you get home!
